The Ecommerce Content Coordinator is responsible for the execution of digital programs and initiatives that consistently deliver new and exciting content to This motivated individual will support traffic driving initiatives and ensure the online customer experience is best-in-class.  This includes but not limited to: coordination of all marketing content for ecommerce web site - including tablet and mobile experiences, as well as execution of online channel marketing promotion plans.



  • Develop, present, execute, and manage digital strategy that encompasses complete digital channel from start to finish including design, creative execution, distribution, and post campaign follow up for all digital marketing communication
  • Approve graphic assets from brand team, schedule, and test those assets through daily updates within the web platforms
  • Responsible for coding the desktop site with responsive functionality using HTML, CSS, and other languages as needed
  • Responsible for maintaining marketing calendars and project management tools
  • Identify gaps in the web platforms and communicate effective solutions to Digital Product Team on how to close out those gaps
  • Manage delivery, design, and execution of assets and copy for the blog, The rueLife
  • Manage the best practice integration and implementation of web and blog programs
  • Create engaging seasonal desktop and mobile experiences to drive engagement, sales, and profitability
  • Responsible for updating the coupons page with the current ecommerce and instore events that are marketed through the desktop and mobile sites
  • Maintain the rueBUCKS assets and site pages with updated earning and redemption information
  • Create site URL link documents with updated information for site refreshes and online events
  • Create accurate linking strategy for site


  • Execute all online marketing initiatives having to do with site and blog content, their functionality, project coordination, deployment, search engine optimization, product, brand, and promotions
  • Drive ecommerce production process and standards ensuring a high level of quality control and brand standards are met
  • Develop SMS outbound mobile initiatives including landing pages and mobile web site that drives traffic and creates awareness
  • Ensure integration and implementation of blog into other social channels
  • Ensure that all promotions and regular prices on site are accurate


  • Execute user acceptance testing for site enhancement projects in collaboration with metrics provided by the Digital Product Team
  • Improve web site through competitive analysis, product category enhancements and marketing techniques
  • Provide research support by monitoring fashion industry, competitor news and online content


  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Coordinator to create SMS landing pages and optimize user experience


Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience working with online store products and/or digital assets or within a digital marketing team of a recognized brand with hands-on tactical experience
  • Experience working in content management or commerce management toolsets or similar tools for managing the deployment of assets and campaigns
  • Strong sense of online customer experience related to design aesthetic
  • Understanding of photo editing tools for cropping, sizing and batch processing
  • Understanding of file systems, caching and permissions as well as FTP
  • Understanding of mid-level HTML and CSS in order to format content (free-form and structured blocks), blog posts and pages alongside a Web UI Developer
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Scene 7, Outlook and Internet applications, and email programs required
  • Previous experience with a content management system (CMS) required
  • Experience working with SEO elements, the fundamentals of META data and rich text
  • Has worked with workflow, ticketing and collaboration tools such as Basecamp, TeamWork, Jira or other

Technical Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of website fundamentals and content management required
  • Understanding of the interactive creation process from wireframes and annotations to designs, development and QA
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Understanding of creation and optimization of web graphics
  • Mid-level HTML & CSS knowledge; basic Javascript
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms preferred (Endeca, Oracle/ATG a plus but not required)
  • High competency with file systems and file manipulation to quickly rename, assort and organize files
  • Understanding of image manipulation, slicing and batching


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required
  • 2-4 years online marketing experience
  • Strong, professional, and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business demands
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
