Overview

rue21 is looking for an experienced Director of Enterprise Applications. We are looking for an organized and collaborative Director to own our technology roadmap for Merchandise, Warehouse Management, Planning, Allocation & Corporate Systems, balance competing priorities, bring about consensus across multiple groups, and deliver new tools and systems that will help us accomplish the organization goals.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the Merchandise, Warehouse Management, Planning, Allocation & Corporate Systems roadmap and provides prioritization feedback to our technology team.
  • Understand and evaluate business requirements and translate into specific IT solutions
  • Develop, Manage and Lead the Enterprise Applications Team
  • Maintaining a strategic relationship with all Merchandise, Warehouse Management, Planning, Allocation & Corporate System vendors
  • Provides technical coordination of project teams, and direct administrative supervision.
  • Ensures that Merchandise, Warehouse Management, Planning, Allocation & Corporate Systems applications are optimized and are fully utilized by the business
  • Adopts and follows change management procedures related to implementation of application changes on Enterprise Applications
  • Ensures team maintains and turns over to IT Operations documentation necessary to operate all systems
  • Establishes and tracks all requests for system enhancements and reports on project status

Qualifications

  • Strong collaborative skills to work across multiple stakeholder groups to translate business strategies, initiatives, goals and objectives into ERP project proposals
  • Strong business acumen, and superior written, verbal and presentation skills
  • BS/MS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent/related degree.
  • 8+ Years of experience in any one of the following Merchandising, Finance or Planning/Allocation Systems.
  • 5+ Years of Management experience and managing team of 5-10 members.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise level systems such as Infor, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
  • Experience with Island Pacific, Lawson, Maple Lake/TXT a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, excellent leadership abilities and management skills with a proven track record of strategic planning, functional transformation, innovation, change management, and budget and resource management.
  • Proven track record of delivering large scale, complex technology products and services in a retail environment where priorities shift rapidly
