Associate Manager -Store Planning and Visual Merchandising
Associate Store Planning Manager will manage all visual merchandising projects that pertain to capital fixture expenditures and CAD related needs in the visual department.
Manage all aspects and processes of CAPEX fixture budgets and special projects for the Visual Merchandising Department maintaining cost savings and project budgets.
Manage, produce, and maintain files of all CAD fixture plans in collaboration with the Construction Department on shared document sites.
Manage all fixture roll outs from conception, design, and communication to the field while collaborating departmental and interdepartmental personnel.
Implement, create, and manage CAD layouts samples of store merchandise placement, fixture placement, and prototype fixture placement for visual communication documents needs.
Assists in the management of new and prototype fixture design and implementation with the guidance of Director.
Maintain files of vendor supplied drawings of existing and prototype fixture drawings in conjunction with Procurement.
Oversee all analysis of fixture and visual needs for new stores, remodel, and special projects with Design and Construction/Procurement.
Assist with finalizing fixture plans for new and conversion store in conjunction with Design and Construction as it pertains to seasonal visual needs at time of opening.
Work with procurement personnel to manage store fixture and visual fixture replacement procedures as needed.
Manage the video creation process for new and conversion stores for final review with management for final floor sets. This process is to ensure rue21 brand standards are met and to strengthen field implementation.
Ability to travel to store locations to assist in store set up and training when needed.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Retail Design or related field required
5+ 10 years of experience in retail design or interior design
Prior retail experience preferred
Fixture Design Experience preferred
High degree of proficiency in AUTOCAD and 3D capabilities, MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
