    The Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist will build, implement and manage digital strategies and goals through online marketing executing innovative marketing plans.  This role will monitor and track utilization, performance, and traffic analytics to optimize keyword and other online marketing efforts.  They lead online marketing efforts in multiple digital channels and are integral in promoting and growing the brand. The ideal candidate is creative and passionate, regularly generating new ideas to develop and grow our brand and community. He or she is also adept in building relationships both internally - working closely with the marketing, merchandising and product teams - as well as with online partners.


    • Support rue21 ecommerce department by increasing the online business through both tactical and strategic execution of online retention techniques. Channels include but not limited to paid search, email and affiliate channels
    • Build, implement, and evaluate higher funnel marketing campaigns geared towards building awareness and driving micro-conversions such as account creations, email sign-ups, email preference updates, and product review submissions
    • Collaborate with ecommerce analyst to measure all marketing touch points through a unified tracking system; ensure that marketing investments are made according to this system
    • Drive cross-team processes for effective, on-time delivery of marketing plans through strong internal relationships and coordinating across departments
    • Identify, test and implement new opportunities to improve conversion and customer satisfaction online
    • Analyze, monitor and communicate performance of web-based and digital retention initiatives to the team while working across business teams (ecommerce, marketing, and merchandising) to ensure a cohesive and complementary online marketing program
    • Timely execution of brand’s digital channel programs –marketing and transactional. Work across business teams (ecommerce, marketing, merchandising) to ensure a cohesive and complementary online marketing program
    • Ensure online quality standards are maintained for representation of brand and seasonal message in all digital content presentation and location of ad space


    • 3-5 years’ experience developing and managing web-based content and digital marketing
    • Project management experience associated with Interactive Marketing and/or Web projects
    • Experience in program testing, tracking, database segmentation and profiling, targeting, site metrics and analysis
    • Master of MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
    • Applied experience interactive marketing and ebusiness strategies, channels, technologies, principles, and processes
    • Marketing/Web experience associated with a national-level retailer
    • Practiced in the basics of full life-cycle marketing initiative management
    • Understanding of fashion industry and related retail channels
    • Customer-facing abilities; ability to partner and influence
