  • Overview

    The eCommerce Analyst will be responsible for converting business intelligence data into meaningful and actionable insights. Based on data gathered through web analytics tools, research, and collaborative business partnerships, the eCommerce Analyst will determine business drivers and trends while developing recommendations for improvements.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor, analyze, and report performance of rue21.com using site analytics tools such as Google Analytics (and others) focusing on purchasing behavior, traffic drivers, site experience, site functionality, site enhancements, and online marketing campaign performance
    • Pull data from the company’s data warehouse to analyze customer, order, and product information
    • Merge data from multiple sources to create recurring reports and support ad-hoc analysis requests which measure and monitor results and performance
    • Support A/B testing and optimization initiatives including set up, running, and reporting
    • Partner with IT to define business requirements and develop capabilities for BI systems
    • Administer analytics and data collection tagging implementations through a tag management tool
    • Collect, analyze, and report user feedback from multiple sources including surveys, usability test, click stream data, session replay, etc.
    • Partner with Store Operations on omnichannel projects
    • Lead cross-functional meetings to define and identify business requirements and suggest initiatives
    • Serve as key contact for IT and/or third party analytic resources
    • Lead and manage projects and other tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required     
    • 2+ years’ experience in web or customer analytics working directly in Google Analytics, preferably in a retail eCommerce environment
    • 2+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence (BI), decision support or analytics functions with SQL
    • Experience with an industry leading Tag Management solution such as Tealium, TagMan, Ensighten or Google Tag Manager
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
    • Prior retail experience, fashion retail background strongly preferred
    • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications required
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and influence business partners
    • Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
    • Strong analytical skills to process information from a variety of sources, grasp new concepts, approaches and systems, and organize information logically.
