  • Overview

    The Treasury Specialist position is integral to the Daily cash movement and the store opening/closing process, as it has responsibilities for selection and set up of depository banks, acquisition of merchant numbers from credit card processing companies as well as responsible for ordering supplies for these services. The incumbent to this position maintains these account relationships and interacts with the field to insure smooth operation. This position is also responsible for making and logging all corporate office deposits as well as processing daily bank sweeps of store depository accounts into our corporate concentration account. 

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain relationships with depository banks and determine and carry out necessary consolidation and replacement of bank relationships which includes coordinating all treasury services such as account set-up, documentation and maintenance, coordination of on-line access, reporting, etc.
    • Direct daily cash management transactions; Initiate, confirm and track transfers of funds i.e. funding disbursements, depository sweeps, wires in and out, etc.
    • Identify new store openings: initiate depository bank selection process; acquire merchant numbers with MC/Visa, Discover and Amex.
    • Identify new store openings and obtain all banking supplies for the above said accounts.
    • Complete weekly Liquidity Projection.
    • Seek out ways of cost containment in the banking area.
    • Complete special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
    • 2 years’ experience in finance or banking preferred
    • Strong aptitude for numbers and mathematical data
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
    • Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
    • Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
