    As the Supply Chain/Vendor Relations Intern, you will be responsible for chargeback documentation and reporting, vendor communication, building strong relationships with vendors, liaison between 3rd party web fulfillment facility, Support Center and vendors.

     

    This is a paid internship (40 hours per week). The duration of the Summer Internship Program is approximately 12 weeks beginning in May 2019.

    Responsibilities

    • Documenting evidence of vendor shipping violations and reporting them to the Vendor Relations Department, Buying and vendors
    • Vendor communication regarding shipping and packing issues
    • Documenting information on individual charge backs and help initiate charge backs
    • Maintain documentation of all vendor violations
    • Work in conjunction with 3rd party web fulfillment facility to capture all vendor violations immediately
    • File correspondence related to vendor issues
    • Research and respond to vendor chargeback disputes
    • Vendor communication – This will consist of answering questions about our vendor compliance guidelines and follow-up to ensure vendors comply with these guidelines
    • Onboarding new vendors - Ensure that all new vendors clearly understand our vendor compliance guidelines
    • Assist with updating the Vendor Compliance Manual
    • Periodic organizational reporting of vendor activity and financial metrics associated with vendor PO and chargeback transaction activity
    • Creation of monthly scorecards for submission to primary vendor base
    • Continuous follow-up communication with vendors
    • Other projects as assigned by Manager

    Qualifications

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Junior or Senior year
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, as well as work experience in customer service and/or sales; prior retail experience a plus
    • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
    • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem-solving and presentation skills
    • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, while operating independently
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to adapt well to change in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
