  • Overview

    As the Store Operations Intern, you will serve as Operations support to ensure objectives of the department are met. This includes coordinating projects that support the immediate and future needs of the business. Communicate with Field Management and Support Center to solicit information and provide feedback needed for business processes.

     

    This is a paid internship (40 hours per week). The duration of the Summer Internship Program is approximately 12 weeks beginning in May 2019.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate assigned projects within the Operations Department that support the business needs. This includes but is not limited to:
      • Writing and publishing store communications to the store intranet site.
      • Assisting in coordinating Training Sessions for Field Management hosted at the Support Center.
      • Assisting in coordinating and executing District Manager Meetings.
      • Arranging travel and accommodations for Training Sessions and District Manager Meetings.
      • Coordinating rue communications between the Field and the Support Center.
      • Establishing and maintaining directories and schedules.
      • Performing data collection and entry as needed.
      • Coordinating special projects to support the needs of the business.
    • Assist in determining and managing content of Operations intranet site to provide resources to Field for improved communications.
    • Contact stores and DMs to solicit information and feedback as needed.
    • Assist with day-to-day operations in the department.
    • Drive an internal customer service philosophy from the Support Center to the Field; reinforce the role of the Support Center as a source of support to our stores.

    Qualifications

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in your Junior or Senior year; Marketing, Communication, or Business majors strongly preferred
    • Prior retail experience preferred
    • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
    • Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
    • Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation
    • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
    • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
